In 2022, hurricane Fiona passed by Maine and I made a trip to the Schoodic Peninsula to see the massive waves roll in. This piece resulted from that experience, I wanted to paint this wave all in one sitting in order to capture the raw energy in my brushstrokes that I felt as I witnessed this force of nature. It was a trip to the ocean that I will never forget.
